Level 4 Security Screens Will Be Featured on $370 Million Renovation Project.

ERIE, Pennsylvania – September 25, 2014 – Kane Security manufacturer partners: Screens by Kane, a security screens brand belonging to architectural products manufacturer, Kane Innovations, announced today their inclusion in Ohio State University’s (OSU) $370 million North Residential District Transformation project.

The renovation will add 3,200 additional student beds through the construction of 11 new buildings, which are expected to be ready for students by the fall of 2016. Kane’s work will be featured on Building A of OSU’s new North District.

Although Kane Security’s Level 4 Top-Hinged Operable Aluminum Protectors were initially selected by the architects at HKS and the university, some slight modifications were requested to allow the chosen screens to meld with the building design.  The result was a customized version of Kane Security’s Operable Protectors which featured side-hinged mounting and cam-locks installed through the screen frame.  Koch Corporation, a leading building envelope resotration and construction firm, is slated to install Kane’s security window screens within the coming year.
